As is customary, at the end of the year, everyone sums up the results and compares them to goals. Despite the eccentricity of the outgoing year, it was full of surprises, discoveries, learning and new horizons.
Projects
Over the past year, our team managed to implement 21 projects, develop more than 30 site and application architectures, more than 20 large-scale, complex and extensible databases, render over 25 site and application layouts, held 2 master classes, a webinar and more than 20 private consultations.
The most popular business segment with which Vindict cooperates in 2020 are personal deposits and personal finance, while the least popular are logistics and corporate services. At the same time, the most active clients were in August-October, and less active in March-May.
The most popular technology of the past year was JavaScript and its libraries, as well as PHP and SQL. Clients also began to prefer integration into their projects more often, the most popular of them were: support chats, online payment and bots in messengers.
Over the past year, what customers have most worried about their sites and apps (in order of most important) is design, performance, ease of use. And least of all attention was paid to: security, SEO-optimization, legal nuances of website ownership.
Our clients do not have any security issues, since they are rarely hacked, and in the event of DDoS attacks or hacks, the Vindict team, thanks to smart monitoring, responds to threats instantly, eliminating them completely within a few days, restoring the site's operation. We also configure the server of each of our clients according to modern standards of web protection against attacks of the most common types. SEO optimization is embedded in each of our sites, it is also spelled out in contracts, since we are implementing SEO trends on all our sites. We believe that all sites should look modern and dignified. We also add a sitemap, terms of use and privacy policy to each project for free, as the owner of the site without these documents may have serious legal problems. Up to heavy fines. To protect the client from surprises, we form these documents individually for each project and, if necessary, translate into all languages of the site and application.
Trends for the next year
The coming year promises to be the year of mobile technologies: applications and sites in conjunction with social networks and media, dynamic and contrasting content, as well as bold solutions. Due to the massive isolation of the world's population, the segment of online solutions has grown exponentially in a matter of months and now the strongest survive.
As in the past year, the percentage of users who prefer phones to computers is growing rapidly. Already almost 70% of all traffic is from mobile devices. This means a change in the approach to the design, design and structure of sites. Now the landmark will always be on phones.
Thus, the technologies on the site should allow:
- load quickly even with 3G Internet (still the most widespread connection format in the world, at least until 2024);
- look impressive so that the user does not close the site in the first seconds;
- be simple for the user to reach the goal of visiting the site in no more than 5 touches;
- have many smooth animations and transitions for ease of use;
- have many communication channels: chat, call, mail, phone number, and preferably instant messengers and even bots.
